 Subaru Urban Assault Race
Our headlining event, the Subaru Urban Assault Race is a crazy bike scavenger hunt/adventure race. Teams of two race their bikes to checkpoints all over the city completing fun challenges at each stop. We’re talking big wheels, inflatable slip n slides, foam pits – and other craziness. Drag Race
4 racers go head2head in a short (<1/8 mile) non-technical paved sprint. Competitors start from a dead stop and sprint to the finish line. Any bikes will work – but they’d better be fast! The top two in each race advance to the next round. You will only have to pay 1 entry fee to race – no matter how far you get.
We will have the following divisions with prizes to the top 3 in each.

VeloMoto
Making it’s international debut at Fiesta de Bicicleta! VeloMoto combines Cruisers and BMX in a head2head race that anybody can enjoy. The course combines pavement, dirt, and easy obstacles all included in a super fun and fast loop.
On your mark...get set…go! Up to 4 racers speed around the course choosing the best line though the various terrain. The top few racers advance to the next round. Short, fun, and spectator friendly!
Divisions include:
- Stock – all racers are on similarly prepared 1-speed coaster brake cruisers
- Relay – teams of 3 share one bike and each do a loop around the course
- Unlimited – bring out your favorite single speed steed for this high-octane race
SWOBO Alley Cat Race
A classic bike-messenger race format that combines fitness, quick thinking, and local knowledge. At the start, you are given a ‘manifest’ that includes clues to checkpoint locations you have to reach during the race. Some checkpoints are worth more points than others and the race has a time limit. You will have to think quickly and decide which (if not all) checkpoints you want to hit so that you make it back by the cut-off time. Who knows...we may even throw in some crazy challenges at the checkpoints ;)
The winner of the Swobo Alley Cat takes home their own brand spankin' new Sanchez Bike by Swobo. The the sweetest fixie in the game! Other prizes will be awarded 5 deep (Male or Female). The race will be capped by a party at the Rio where the margaritas will be flowing!
